Merry Christmas in Alaska

We are having a fabulous time here in Alaska. We are surviving the cold and enjoying our family and friends. Noah especially likes bundling up and hanging out in the snow. Grandma Gale and Grandpa Bill have spoiled him to death and we are still deciding how we are going to get these presents home. We are so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends. Can't wait for Christmas dinner, tonight we are having steak and prawns. Yum!

Noah Meets Santa Claus

Well we put up our Christmas tree and decorations. Noah has been really good about not playing with them except for the stocking holders. He went to grab the stockings and the stocking holder which is the shape of a Christmas tree fell right into between his eyes and left a nice mark. He turned 10 months on December 13th and is getting even more of a personality. He pulls himself up on everything. He met Santa for the first time and didn't even know he was doing it until he turned around and saw the jolly old man.

Noah's First Haircut

Noah got his first haircut while Grandma Gale and Grandpa Bill were here. He did not like it at all, but in the end he looked adorable. I have noticed that Noah likes to do the things that he wants to do. He does not like to be controlled in any way. I wonder were he gets this characteristic.

Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noah trying his first Thanksgiving meal! I'm not sure what he thought about it.

We had so much mash pototoes that we allowed each person to have two scoops.

Noah did not get much attention. I don't know why no one wanted to play with him.

My first turkey I have ever cooked. Yes I was sober!

Noah pulling himself up on everything.

Thanksgiving was a blast! It was so nice to have all of our family together and give thanks to one another. Noah sure enjoyed the attention and loved being with everyone. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. The food turned out perfect and we had enough to feed an army. Everyone pitched in to make the day a success. The day consisted of eating, drinking, chatting and singing. Yes singing! We can't go a holiday without singing some karaoke.

Getting ready for Thanksgiving

We have been getting ready for Thanksgiving. Well I have been getting ready for Thanksgiving. Cleaning, planning the food and learning how to cook this feast. Noah is getting two more teeth so his nose has been running and he hates it because he can't breathe when he lays down. Yesterday, I went to the taping of the Ellen show. It was tons of fun. The guests where Bette Midler, Pink and Hans (who is a magician). I really like Ellen. She is so down to earth and real. Well I will keep you posted on the big Thanksgiving Feast!!!!!!!!!!!

Noah is 9 months

Noah turned nine months on November 13th! He went in for his 9 month check up and is a healthy 21 pounds. I can't believe that he is getting so big. His hair keeps growing and growing and growing. We can't wait until Grandpa Bill comes for Thanksgiving and gives the boy a hair cut. We are going to have a full house for Thanksgiving. Gale and Bill are coming from Alaska and my Aunt Lilly and Cousin Ryan are coming to meet Noah for the first time. Since our house is a small pueblo (which we are blessed to have) we will be celebrating Thanksgiving at our best friend's house Angela and Ryan. I can't wait to have the whole family together and eat!!!!!!!!!Here is a picture of Noah attempting to crawl on his hands and knees. We would love to hear your comments. All you have to do is click on "comment" and write your message. Looking forward to hearing from you.

The New Edition

We decided that we have waited too long and its time to extend the family and give Noah a little brother or sister. I tried to tell Tim it was too soon, but he wouldn't budge. We are both thrilled to have another baby and what we are most excited for the relationship that will build between Noah and his new sibling. My doctor appointments have been great, the little one is growing fast, but I am not (thank goodness). I am starting to feel a little better, but it is definitely different the second time. We were talking about not finding out the sex of the baby, but I don't know if we can do it. Stay posted to see! Check out the new edition!

Deekers

For those of you who have been dying to see pictures of our pride and joy! Here he is. I have posted some pictures of his first tooth (now he has 5), Halloween and him crawling around being Noah. Deekers is a nickname that I gave to Noah when he was only two months old and it has stuck in both Tim's and my head. So now we call him our little Deekers or Deeks for short.

Welcome to the Johnson Blog

Well, I can't believe I am actually doing this. I have been giving Angela a lot of grief about having a blog, but she convinced me that is a great thing to do and I agree. I realize that we are all busy and it takes a lot of time to email pictures to all of our family members. Tim and I think that this will be a great way to keep the family updated with our lives. Noah is growing so fast, he will be nine months on Thursday. He is crawling, eating baby food, and making noises that always make us laugh. His newest thing is shaking his head no and clapping his hands. With the great distances that separate us all, we hope this will help to close that gap a little. Enjoy!
